OUR BUNGALOWS

Our hotel consists of ten bungalows. Each bungalow comes with its own private bathroom, air conditioning, ceiling fan and a big overhead mosquito net to protect our guests. If you are traveling with children extra beds are available. For the delight of our guests the bungalows have maintained the essence of the old colonial style.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

Mwani House is part of a comprehensive development project of Fundación IBO. The workers at Mawani House are educated at our Vocational Training School. The school strives for human development that entails an adequate nutrition at infancy, appropriate education in the adolescence and a dignified work in maturity. Fundación IBO envisions the tourism in Mozambique and the District of Ibo as an efficient platform for growth in both the economic and cultural sense while making sure it is a responsible and sustainable touristic development.

IBO IN SEPIA TONE

IBO IN SEPIA TONE

Although the waters surrounding Ibo are not sepia, getting to know its history is like a long path through a world of sepia colored photographs. Ibo’s past is engraved in its architecture, language, ancient customs, and the activities of its inhabitants. To stroll in the streets of Ibo hand in hand with the local guides allows visitors to understand the reality of the island. Hopefully, tourists can contribute with new colors and experiences.

THE SPIRIT OF IBO

THE SPIRIT OF IBO

Surrounded by one of the biggest mangrove forests in the Africa, bird lovers delighted some of the most privileged views in the world. Also, tide movements in the island help to host more than 400 species of birds with 10 of them in danger of extinction. Flamingos, pelicans, kingfishers, herons, woodpeckers and eagles just to name a few of the birds that can be seen in this wonderful archipelago.
